In 2016, Brett Rapkin received his 1st Emmy Award and in addition released his 1st narrative feature film as writer/director. “Spaceman,” an attribute film starring Josh Duhamel as gonzo MLB pitcher Expenses “Spaceman” Lee premiered theatrically and across VOD systems by Orion/MGM about August 19th, 2016. “Welcome to Dodgertown,” narrated by Vin Scully and Larry Ruler won a 2016 Emmy for Best Sports activities Particular and was made by his production business, Podium Pictures. Rapkin was raised playing year-round football in LA and attended The College or university of Arizona. Soon after graduating, he ventured to Cuba with a little crew to immediate the documentary film that could ultimately become “Spaceman: A Football Odyssey.” In 2003 he moved to NY after an offer to become mentored from the principals at Dark Canyon Productions, the multiple Peabody and Emmy Award winning sports film production company. Since moving back again to his hometown of LA, he spent some time working with customers including NFL Press, ESPN, HBO, Showtime Crimson Bull, GMC, and many more.
