Dorothea Lange was created on, may 26, 1895 in Hoboken, NJ. Educated at Columbia University or college, learned pictures in NY, moved to SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, and with the starting point of the the fantastic Depression, became probably one of the most popular and important documentary photographers, most widely known for her Plantation Security Administration photos from the migrant plantation employees in California. One particular photographs, referred to as “Migrant Mom” could very well be probably the most iconic picture of that period. During World Battle II she recorded the internment of Japanese People in america. In the 1940s she trained in the California College of Good Arts. In 1952 she co-founded the picture publication, “Aperture.”
