Philip French was created in Liverpool on 28 August 1933 to John and Bessie France and originally studied Rules at Exeter University, Oxford. Nevertheless after National Program he proceeded to go into journalism, especially authoring film. In 1978 he became the movie theater critic for the Observer paper and remained for the reason that capability until 2013, when he received the O.B.E. – additionally submitting many books on film.
