Tomer Heymann was created in Kfar Yedidia in Israel in 1970 and offers directed many documentary movies and series before ten years, many of them long-term follow-ups and personal documentations. His movies earned major honours at different renowned film celebrations including his 1st film “It Kinda Scares Me”. “Paper Dolls” earned three awards in the Berlin Film Event, two awards in the Identities Film Event, the “Greatest International Feature” award in the Los Angeles Event, “Greatest Documentary” on the Cinemanila International Film Celebration in the Philippines and so many more. His film and Television series “Bridge within the Wadi”, co-produced using the American ITVS, gained the Israeli Documentary Film competition, participated in IDFA Festival’s esteemed competition and gained many awards all over the world. Tomer’s 8-component series “JUST HOW Home” gained the “Greatest Documentary Series” prize at this year’s 2009 Jerusalem International Film Celebration and “Greatest Documentary Series” on the Israeli Documentary Competition. Tomer also aimed documentaries about regional culture heroes like the Performers Aviv Geffen, Idan Raichel (“Dark Over Light”) as well as the choreographer Ohad Neharin (“Out Of Concentrate”). Tomer’s most recent film “I Shot My Like” premiered on the Berlin Film Celebration 2010 and continues to be screened at several festivals all over the world. The film provides gained awards on the HotDocs Film Event, Taiwan Documentary Int’l Film Event, THE MEDIAL SIDE By Part GLBT Film Event, The Madrid GLBT Film Event, The Queer Lisboa GLBT Film Event as well as the Warsaw Jewish Film Event. Tomer’s movies “Aviv Geffen”, “It Kinda Scares Me”, “Paper Dolls” and “I Shot My Like” had been theatrically released in cinemas in Israel and all over the world.
